Open Studio for Seniors
A weekly studio afternoon for seniors, with gallery tours, field trips and time to work on your own projects alongside others.
Bring a project you are already working on, or an idea and the materials to start one. Open Studio is a shared space where you work alongside other people, supported by a facilitator with a background in visual art. The program runs in partnership with Kerby and the Centre for Lifelong Learning.
Sessions move around the city, so check where each week is meeting before you set out.
August
- August 25: Glenbow at The Edison field trip. Meet at the Glenbow front desk on the 2nd floor. Accessible by transit.
September
- September 1: Smartphone photography field trip in Downtown West. Meet in the Contemporary Calgary lobby.
- September 8: Smartphone photo-editing workshop at Contemporary Calgary.
- September 15: Tour and studio session at the Central Library. Accessible by transit.
- September 22: Contemporary Calgary gallery tour, follow-up discussion and group sharing of artworks.
- September 29: Mentorship meet and greet at Contemporary Calgary.
